Supporting the climbing community

"We believe climbing can change the course of a life"

Coaches, setters, volunteers, organizers, gyms, clubs, and nonprofit groups help make that possible. They create opportunities for people to discover climbing, develop their skills, and find a community where they belong.

As 8A grows, we want to support that work through practical partnerships.

What we support

We consider requests from:

  • Climbing competitions.

  • Youth climbing programs.

  • University climbing clubs.

  • Nonprofit climbing organizations.

  • Community climbing events.

Our focus is on initiatives that help people participate, progress, and feel connected to climbing. We are particularly interested in opportunities for young people and those discovering the sport.

How we help

Depending on the initiative and our current capacity, support may include:

  • Apparel or accessories for podium prizes.

  • Raffle prizes and event giveaways.

  • Product donations for community programs.

  • Selected promotion through 8A channels.

8A is a small independent brand. Our support is primarily provided through product donations, with the scope of each partnership agreed individually.

What we look for

We give priority to initiatives that:

  • Make climbing more accessible and welcoming.

  • Encourage participation across abilities and experience levels.

  • Support young people and new climbers.

  • Build lasting connections within the climbing community.

  • Have a clear plan for how our contribution will be used.

  • Treat participants, volunteers, staff, and partners with care and respect.

  • Give 8A enough notice to provide useful support.

Our primary focus is Canada, including communities close to our home in Jasper, Alberta. We also consider selected international opportunities when the fit and logistics are practical.

Request support

Please email hello@8aclimbing.com with:

  • Organization name and contact person.

  • Brief description of the event or program.

  • Date and location.

  • Expected attendance or number of participants.

  • Type and quantity of support requested.

  • How the contribution will benefit participants.

  • Sponsorship decision deadline.

  • Date products are needed.

  • Website or social-media links.

  • Shipping address, if product support is requested.

Please contact us as early as possible so we can assess the request and allow time for production and delivery.

We review requests against our values, available products, delivery timing, and current capacity. Sending a request does not guarantee support.

A note from Jason

Climbing gave me direction, a community, and a life in Jasper with my family. Supporting the people who create those opportunities for others is part of why I started 8A.

Our contribution will grow with the business. For now, we want to make thoughtful commitments and follow through on them.
